We Make Stuff wouldn’t be complete without indulging your own crafty creativity, would it? Stop by the Team Etsy Austin booth to get your own “I make stuff” t-shirt, then dive into make n’ take projects with fabulous ladies of The WonderCraft, recently featured in Austin Monthly. Screen your own shirt design with new screen shop, Under Pressure, and reward yourself with tasty (and complimentary) treats from Nadamoo and Treaty Oak Rum.
And finally, because we know Austinites are not only wild crafters but discerning art critics too, we invite you to be our official skateboard art judges! Check out hand-painted and crafted skateboard decks by amazing designers and artists like Jason Silver, Tom Cox, Anne Genung, Candace Carlisle, Sara Hasslinger and Wendy Offield, many more. After tallying your votes, we’ll reward the winners with gift baskets filled with local goodies, art supplies, and the opportunity to be featured in a future gallery showcase.
Proceeds from We Make Stuff raffle will benefit Art From the Streets (AFTS). Art From the Streets is a non-profit, volunteer-driven art class program that provides a safe and encouraging environment where the positive spirit of homeless people is nurtured through artistic expression.
The first 100 people to arrive at The Scoot Inn will receive a special We Make Stuff goody bag, filled with one-of-a-kind crafts and reusable items.

Austin Handmade is the brainchild of forward thinking local art supporters Jason Butler and Catherine Jones. Butler, a native Texan and graduate from the Art Institute of Dallas also owns and operates Sixgunlover Records and Sonance Rehearsal Studios. His partner Catherine Jones, UT alumni and co-founder of Austin Handmade, helped to establish this business as her way of giving back to a community that has offered her so many possibilities. Austin Handmade began as an online store, marketed toward a national audience. Their idea was to have an inclusive array of arts to represent the diversity of talent in Austin. After receiving many requests from Austinites to create a local showroom, owners Catherine and Jason decided to open up shop. Austin Handmade’s mission is to provide an outlet for artists and to expand the notion of what art is, with a focus on affordable art.
Visit the Austin Handmade online store at www.austinhandmade.com to find an array of Austin’s talent with a wide diversity of art including screen printing, book binding, candle making, fabric art, graphic design and more, including detailed information on upcoming featured monthly artist events and the bi-weekly local Handmade Market.
