from the mouth/mind of Knuckle Rumbler’s Jill (forgot her pants) Sorrels:
There is unrest in the Galactic Senate. Several thousand solar systems have declared their intentions to leave the Red River district. However there is a strong new partyist movement under the leadership of the mysterious Count Adi. He and all his music knowledge have made it easy for all hipsters of every walk of life to maintain peace and order in the galaxy. Count Adi is returning to the Galactic Senate to vote on the critical issue of creating an ARMY OF THE CLONES to assist the overwhelmed party goers….
As such Adi and KR present to you ADI FEST 3 !!! Featuring some of the most amazing cover bands this side of Pluto. Second Hand News are sure to fulfill all your Fleetwood Mac needs, including a costume contest with real (not cloned) prizes!

For those who have never experienced an Adi Fest you are in for a treat. There is never a dull moment from partying likes its 1999 or 89 or 79 it’s a true journey through rock.
To revel in the special occasion there will be a Stevie Nicks & Mick Fleetwood Costume Contest following their performance at Beauty Bar at 10:30. Contestants should be there by 9:30 to enter into the contest.

Grand Prize Winners will receive gift certificates from both Buffalo Exchange and Room Service Vintage.

Transmission Entertainment - From The Mind Of Adi: First Friday Frolic series hosts its ACVB and Double Stereo night on September 3rd at Club de Ville.
The Austin Music Office, a division of The Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, will be celebrating the launch of its new music microsite, powered by Double Stereo.
Local bands are encouraged to create a profile and add their music, bio, and merchandise to the site; tourists (and residents) will be able to check out these Austin artists, buy their music, and of course, make plans accordingly to attend a performance. The site will eventually serve as a comprehensive database for Austin acts, and in due time, should be a priceless resource for information on these musicians.
Doors open at 5 p.m. on the 3rd. We’ll have some food from Frank and beverages from Waialua Soda Works waiting for the early-birds. uLOVEi’s reliable selection of music, and live sets from Hard Proof Afrobeat and Bus Stop Stallions comprise the scheduled entertainment for the evening.
A special thanks to the FTMOA event sponsors and supporters — Austinist, uLOVEi, Giant Noise, KVRX 91.7 FM, Red River Noise and Waialua Soda Works.

Pixel Pop: A Fusion of Art, Fashion and Music — Friday, July 16th @ The Mohawk
A couple of months ago, From The Mind Of Adi, Electric Promotions, and Team Fabrication decided to put on their thinking caps and come up with a cohesive shindig that combines their biggest passions. Pixel Pop, scheduled to take place on Friday, July 16th at The Mohawk, is the result of those brainstorming sessions. We’re excited to present this original event that brings together the wonderful worlds of art, fashion, and music. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. and cover charge is set at $5 ($7 for minors).
Team Fab’s Jen Rea and Erin Mikulenko are set to present a comic book inspired fashion collection, and local illustrator Chad Townsend will offer up an original art display at the event. Additionally, Jeannine Schafer and other Austin artists will be sketching on site as well. As for the music, outside, Candi and The Strangers and The Happen-Ins will entertain the masses, while later, inside, The Bubbles will bring down the curtain. Plus, DJ sets by uLOVEi throughout the course of the evening so bring those dancing shoes. And naturally, we’d love for you to treasure this evening’s memories forever. We’ve procured the services of not one, but two of our fabulous photog friends. Be sure to stop by both Annie Ray’s and Trevor Ray Thompson’s comic book themed photo-booths for a choice picture, or four.
Portions of the proceeds from the door will benefit HAAM, a local entity that ensures all musicians in town have access to affordable healthcare.
Finally, a big thank you to all our sponsors — Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Graham’s Texas Tea, Yelp, Birds Barbershop, Blue Note Bakery, Sirens Salon, Dynamic Reprographics, The WonderCraft, Sublime Stitching, 302 Designs, Jinxedaposed Clothing, Austin Aztex FC, TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls, and Austin Visual Arts Association.
